Current Class Announcements: These classes are available for Registration
One class open at this time.
This opportunity is of interest to some people, and is available outside of our program:
Local 19
will be offering a Power class, that is
suggested as prep for the ETCP Electricians
exam, taught by a professional trainer (no name
yet). It's tentatively scheduled for late Sept.
or early Oct., and it's $200 for the two days,
but they are offering to extend the payment, so
you don't have to pay all at once. The venue is
the Hippodrome Th. in Baltimore. It
specifically won't include training on lighting
gear/consoles. It's all about PD, safety and
math involved with electrical power.
For
this one, you can call Michael Casper of Local
19, and he can get you on the future
registration list and answer questions:
443-929-6138. I'll alert you again on this one
when I have more info.
Local 22 Reference
website:
Clicking on this Reference
Site Link will lead you to a
training
reference collection. On that site you will
find collections of photos of tools
and equipment that we commonly use, as well as
instructions for processes that
you will perform on jobs frequently. This site
provides you with access to a
variety of materials that will help you improve
your knowledge and skills as a
stagehand, available any time you have internet
access. Videos have been added from our Stage
Rigging DVD, which will help anyone taking the
C test. Most materials are
downloadable for your use. They should be
available on PCs or Macs. The site is
designed to hold all kinds of digital graphic
materials, audio, photographic,
and video; it will be upgraded and added to
frequently. It includes links for
email questions, suggestions, and criticisms.
