Workshop Fee: $250

Objective:

This inter-active workshop is designed for leaders of local and regional unions who want to strengthen their unions and maximize their impact through strategic planning.

How to set goals
How to analyze internal and external conditions
How to chart a strategic direction
How to develop a strategic plan
 
Who Will Benefit? Who Should Attend? 
Union officers, executive board members, and other leadership team members who have responsibility for planning the direction of unions.  Participants are encouraged to come in teams of at least two from a union.
 
Instructor:
Katie Quan
is associate chair of the UC Berkeley Labor Center and is a visiting scholar at the Cornell ILR School this year.  She was formerly a district council manager and international vice-president of UNITE.
