About the APALA Organizing Institute
The Organizing Institute (OI) is a three-day program, scheduled from May 2-4, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. The program is intended to train APA rank and file members and community allies to become effective union organizers. The APALA OI has successfully multiplied the number of APA union organizers, increased the number of multilingual organizers, and facilitated the expanded capacity for effective community outreach.
Why Should I Attend the APALA Organizing Institute?
One of the strengths of the APALA OI is that participants are trained by some of the most seasoned APA organizers from across the country. Established in 1993, this once a year training has become the single most effective method to identify, train and grow the number of qualified APA organizers around the country.
