SF APALA at the Private/Non Profit Industry Conference

On March 11, 2006, SF APALA 2nrd Vice President Mario Santos and Special Assistant for Retirees, Cyrel Dudley assisted at the Private/Non Profit Conference.  Mario Santos made a presentation about APALA, while Cryel helped in the serving of food and for thier efforts, SF APALA received a generous token of appreciation from SEIU 790 Private/Non Profit Industry. 

Reviews Candidates at Endorsement Night

The San Francisco APALA Chapter held a candidate endorsementnight in September for the November 8^th citywide election for Assessor and Treasurer positions.  Candidates were invited to speak to APALA members, explain their platforms, and respond to questions on where they stand on the issues.  The chapter decided to do a NO Endorsement because both candidates are friends of labor and they have supported labor all the way. 

The Chapter was also at the September 5 Labor day Rally where more than two thousand trade unionists and supporters held a march rally in downtown San Francisco
